Milan are going through a difficult moment due to injuries and absences, as Stefano Pioli reportedly plans to play Davide Calabria at left-back.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Fodé Ballo-Touré should start the match at left against Hellas Verona, but that Pioli has other plans for the future.

Theo Hernandez tested positive for coronavirus and will miss the next three games, including the Champions League match against FC Porto in the Champions League.

Milan Talk: Man Utd and Tottenham want Kessié, Ibra’s return, Mirante and more

Milan, who have signed Antonio Mirante as a free agent to replace injured goalkeeper Mike Maignan, are going through a difficult spell with injuries.

Ballo-Touré was brought in as back-up for Hernandez this summer and the 24-year-old made his debut against Venezia on September 22.

The former Monaco defender arrived after 108 games in Ligue 1, but Pioli doesn’t seem fully convinced yet.

The newspaper claims he could end up playing right-back Calabria at left in the Champions League against FC Porto.

3 thought on “Calabria at left in Hernandez’s absence?”
  1. There’s no point making any plans, because after the next match another 5 players will be injured and he’ll need to rethink it all again.

  2. This is gonna be another of those “what could have been” seasons. Maybe we could have won the scudetto if we weren’t plagued by injuries all year.

  3. These players, yes they are paid a lot, but money does not circumvent physiology. They play way too many games at an intense level and the result is tons of injuries.
