Davide Calabria admits he was ‘naïve’ for his red card during Milan’s 1-1 draw with Udinese and that “there’s anger and disappointment” about not winning.

Milan were leading Udinese until Calabria was sent off for a mistimed tackle and Gianluigi Donnarumma scored an own goal, and the right-back apologised for leaving his team a man light.

“I just watched the whole game back and I was naïve,” he said after the game.

“There’s anger and disappointment about not having brought home the three points.

“We all wanted [the three points], so I take responsibility for what happened. I’ll draw from this mistake so that it doesn’t happen again.

“I’m the first person to apologise. The team deserved to win.”
