Davide Calabria vowed to be ‘more attentive to details’ in the Champions League race and said Milan would be ‘foolish to throw everything away' at the end.

Calabria played at right-back in the 2-1 defeat to Sassuolo last time and felt the Rossoneri ‘played a good match’ against Sassuolo.

“We have to be more determined in front of goal,” Calabria told Sky Sport Italia. “I think we played a good match anyway, maybe we were stretched a bit in the second half, but it happens over 90 minutes.

“We have to be more determined in front of goal,” Calabria told Sky Sport Italia. “I think we played a good match anyway, maybe we were stretched a bit in the second half, but it happens over 90 minutes.

“We just need to be better at closing the match earlier.”

After Atalanta drew with Roma on Thursday, the Diavolo are still second in the table three points above Napoli at fifth, and Calabria aims for a place in the Champions League.

“It would be foolish to get this far, to play well in so many games, especially after more than a year of playing without a break and at a high pace, and then to throw everything away because you get nervous in the last few games,” Calabria said.

“There are so few days left and we must be more attentive to details to reach our targets.”

Calabria thinks it’s normal that 39-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who renewed with the for a further year, would want to finish his career at a 'great club like Milan'.

“The reputation Milan have in the world of football is recognised by everyone,” he said. “I think it’s fantastic that a player like Ibra says this, but it’s normal too.

“There are few teams as great as Milan, it’s obvious that a great player wants to finish his career in the best possible way in a team like Milan.”
