“It was a wonderful night. I took a little while to get into the tempo of the match, but then tried to do my best,” the 18-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a wonderful night. I took a little while to get into the tempo of the match, but then tried to do my best,” the 18-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.
“I played in the first two friendlies this summer and it went pretty well both on the right and the left, so in July the Coach told me I would be part of the senior squad.”
It was effectively his Serie A debut, as he had played just six minutes last season.
In pre-season Nigel de Jong told reporters that Calabria is the future of Milan’s defence.
“He helps me a great deal, has so much international experience and has seen many players come and go. It’s an honour for him to say that. I try to take from him his aggression and determination.
“My idol has always been Paolo Maldini, but recently Mattia De Sciglio, David Alaba and Dani Carvajal.”
