Brentford have reached an agreement with Napoli for Sweden midfielder Jens Cajuste and the deal will be completed in the coming days.

The 24-year-old Swede joined the Partenopei from Stade Reims last year in a deal worth around €12m. Amidst the post-Scudetto chaos in the Campania capital, he struggled to settle and saw just 1010 minutes of action across 26 Serie A matches.

Napoli have now entered a new era under Antonio Conte and Cajuste is not considered part of the project, making his sale a priority this summer. The club are also working on selling Gianluca Gaetano to Parma and trying to find a buyer for star striker Victor Osimhen.

Napoli agree Cajuste deal with Brentford

Gianluca Di Marzio details how Napoli have agreed to send Cajuste to Brentford on a loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy clause attached, set at €12m. The final details are now being resolved and updates are expected in the coming days.

The Partenopei are looking to bring in Frosinone’s Marco Brescianini to replace the Swedish midfielder, believing he’d be a greater fit for Conte’s new project on the Campania coast.

  1. Would be far more confident of this going through if a ‘lid’ had been kept on this deal

Hoping that Daniel Levy has spent out this summer and keeps away from this proposed deal…..

How much is he being charged by BFC for all the scouting done on his club’s behalf?
