“We’ve signed many young players, it can happen that sometimes things don’t go as you would like although our kids are developing well,” Cairo told Radio Anch’io lo Sport.
“I’ve already told the players to give their all until the end of the season, after all we’re still close to eighth place.
“Expectations have grown given how we’ve done in the last two seasons, the Europa League was an objective we didn’t target but that we believed in.
“We can still be happy with our season. Ventura? He has a contract for another two years, I want him to stay with us given how well he’s done in the last five years.
“Then we’ll see what happens. Thanks to him many guys like Ogbonna, Cerci, Immobile and Darmian have exploded onto the scene.”
