Torino President Urbano Cairo insists he still ‘believes’ in coach Marco Giampaolo and is putting the team into a training retreat.

The Granata remain mired in the relegation zone after seven defeats in the opening 11 rounds, including today’s 3-2 home loss to Udinese.

“I am very disappointed by the squad, as we played very badly and from tomorrow will go into a training retreat,” President Cairo told reporters.

However, when he was asked about the coach, Cairo was adamant there was no dismissal on the cards.

“Our faith in Giampaolo is not running out, nor does it have a deadline. I believe in him a great deal.”
