Even in these circumstances, Spezia still had more scoring opportunities and Toro only threatened in the final minutes.

“It was a very bad game, horrible, the worst performance of the season,” Cairo told reporters.

“I’m sorry to say it, but that’s the truth. I had hoped to see a very different team today.”

However, when asked if Giampaolo would remain on the Torino bench, the President was adamant.

“Of course he’ll stay.”
