Torino patron Urbano Cairo risks being fined and suspensed after the verbal clash with Lazio striker Ciro Immobile on Tuesday night.

The Italy international accused his former President of ‘serious, defamatory insults’ after the 0-0 draw that secured safety in Serie A for Torino.

The Italy international accused his former President of ‘serious, defamatory insults’ after the 0-0 draw that secured safety in Serie A for Torino.

Cairo has since responded to the accusation and Lazio sporting director Igli Tare defended Immobile.

The FIGC inspectors present at the match were reportedly examined by the Sporting Judge and the Disciplinary Commission will publish their decisions today.

La Repubblica reports the Granata President risks being fined and/or suspended, whilst the Federal Prosecutor’s Office will open an investigation and listen to the protagonists and witnesses of the unpleasant incident.
