Torino President Urbano Cairo admits “I wasn’t happy with Sinisa Mihajlovic” and “expected more” from the Coach.

Mihajlovic was replaced by former Napoli, Inter and Watford boss Walter Mazzarri on Thursday, and Cairo explained the reasons behind his decision to sack the Serb.

“I wasn’t happy with the team’s results: they were too inconsistent,” he told Sportitalia.

“I wasn’t happy with the team’s results: they were too inconsistent,” he told Sportitalia.

“I wasn’t happy with Mihajlovic, I’m convinced the team are of a certain standard, but they haven’t been performing at that standard.

“I expected more from Mihajlovic, but I’m happy with Mazzarri. We’d been tracking him for a while and it was an easy decision to make.”
