Genoa have injury concerns for new coach Andriy Shevchenko going into the game with Roma, as Domenico Criscito and Felipe Caicedo have muscular issues.

The Serie A Week 13 fixture is on Sunday evening at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris and will be the debut under Shevchenko, after Davide Ballardini was fired.

There was bad news in training today, because captain Mimmo Criscito and former Lazio striker Caicedo interrupted their session early due to muscular problems.

More tests will be performed over the next few days, but they are in doubt for this weekend’s clash with the Giallorossi.

They aren’t the only ones, as Zinho Vanheusden, Nikola Maksimovic, Mattia Bani, Hernani, Mohamed Fares and top scorer Mattia Destro are also on the treatment table.

Genoa are in penultimate place in the Serie A table after just one victory all season, six draws and five defeats.

They scored 17 goals and conceded 24, which prompted the dismissal of coach Ballardini.
