Cagliari had talks with both Juventus and Monza today for Nahitan Nandez, while Torino and Monza continue to tussle for Joao Pedro.

The Sardinians are forced to sell many of their big players this summer following relegation to Serie B.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, both newly-promoted Monza and Juve are making enquiries about Uruguay international midfielder Nandez.

It’s hardly a new process, as Nandez has been linked with an exit from Cagliari for several seasons and the club was never able to reach an agreement, or he would not agree personal terms with the interested parties.

These included Juventus, Inter, Napoli and Leeds United.

Monza and Juve are now trying to secure the 26-year-old midfielder, who has an asking price of €15m.

Pedullà also maintains that Cagliari were in negotiations today with Monza and Torino for striker Joao Pedro, who is on the market for circa €10m.

Toro have so far baulked at the asking price, but Cagliari still owe his previous club Estoril a cut of the fee.
