The players at Cagliari have decided to enter a retreat in order to prepare in the best possible way for the important match against Torino on Monday.

ANSA reports the Rossoblu enter a retreat from tomorrow and will stay together until after the match against the Granata.

A team could normally be forced into a retreat by the owners during a similar spell to the Casteddu’s, who are currently 19th in Serie A with nine points from 15 games.

But this time it were the players in the squad who decided it would be useful to enter a retreat and focus on the next task in Serie A.

Walter Mazzarri’s men arrive from three consecutive draws against Sassuolo, Salernitana and Hellas Verona.

The club decided to arrange for the retreat after a proposal by the players, who will remain at the club’s sports centre after training tomorrow.

They will leave Asseminello on Monday afternoon to go to the stadium and can return to their respective homes after the match against Ivan Juric’s men.

Torino have picked up one point from their last two games but are 13th in the table with twice as many points as their opponents.

Cagliari are winless in seven consecutive Serie A games, but are doing everything to be fully concentrated ahead of the next appointment at the Unipol Domus.
