Cagliari confirm they are in negotiations with Marco Borriello, Mauricio Isla and Davide Calabria.

The Sardinians were promoted back into Serie A just one year after their relegation, winning the Serie B title.

“We like Borriello, he is an idea for our attack, but first we have to see if Duje Cop leaves,” director of sport Stefano Capozucca told GazzaMercato.

“If Cop goes out, then at that point we’d sign another striker and Borriello could fit the bill.

“We have already done a lot to bolster the squad with important arrivals like Bruno Alves, Simone Padoin and Artur Ionita. We don’t need much more, just one or two signings.”

Are Juventus man Isla and Milan teenager Calabria the main options for the flanks?

“They are two names that interest us and we are evaluating them. We’ll see what happens (when we meet Isla) on Tuesday.”

Chile international Isla has also been linked with Bayer Leverkusen.

As for Calabria, Milan seem determined not to let the Italy Under-21 international go out on loan.
