The recently-built stadium has been the subject of a long-standing battle between the club and the city council.

The Rossoblu's match against Juventus in December had to be played in Parma because of safety concerns.

And it seems that this weekend's match-up with the Rossoneri could also be moved away from the stadium.

A brief statement from the 'Provincial Supervision Committee' read today: “At present there are concerns over public safety for the match between Cagliari and Milan on Sunday 15.”

However, the Isloani's communication director, Ivan Paone, claimed on their official Facebook page that, “at the moment nothing official has been announced. We are waiting for the findings of the Committee – and only then can we respond.”
