Cagliari owner Tommaso Giulini says he will not stand in the way of Nicolo Barella if the midfielder wants to play in the Champions League.
Barella’s performances for Cagliari and Italy have seen him linked with several Champions League clubs, including Inter, Juventus and Liverpool, and Giulini accepted the starlet could outgrow the Rossoblu.
“Nicolo finally has a Coach [in Rolando Maran], who can give him a lot,” he told Tuttosport.

“If he stayed then I’d be the happiest man in the world, but it’s equally clear that the lad could have the ambition of playing in the Champions League.
“It’s nice to see him as a leading light for Italy, but the same applies to Cragno, Romagno and Deiola, who is now at Parma.
“He became a man growing up alongside Daniele Conti and Andrea Cossu. Like a sponge he managed to absorb values such as respect and love for both the shirt and profession.
“The same is happening with Srna here and Chiellini in the national team.”
