Cagliari could poach Sassuolo striker Leonardo Pavoletti from under the noses of Leeds United.
Pavoletti has been repeatedly linked with a January move to Leeds and even visited the club during the Christmas break, taking a tour of the facilities and sitting in the stands for a Championship game.
However, today Sky Sport Italia claim that Cagliari have stepped in with their own proposal for the 26-year-old.
Pavoletti impressed new Coach Gianfranco Zola, who took over from sacked Zdenek Zeman on Christmas Eve.
