Cagliari are said to be in negotiations for Milan full-back Davide Calabria, but Lennart Czyborra’s transfer from Atalanta is in doubt.

According to MilanNews.it, the proposal worth €8m plus another €2m in bonuses has so far been rejected, as the Rossoneri want to raise more funds from his sale.

It is no secret that Calabria has been put on the market, in part because he is a product of their youth academy, so his transfer would be registered as pure profit when balancing the books.

It is no secret that Calabria has been put on the market, in part because he is a product of their youth academy, so his transfer would be registered as pure profit when balancing the books.

The 23-year-old spent his entire career with Milan and is primarily a right-back, although he can also play on the left.

Calabria has also been heavily linked with a move to Spain for Real Betis.

Meanwhile, the Corriere dello Sport claims Czyborra’s move to Cagliari from Atalanta has also hit problems.

It was meant to be a two-year loan with obligation to buy for €5m.

However, the Corriere claims the German left-back tested positive for COVID-19, which would postpone his medical and therefore transfer.
