The former Inter shot-stopper is looking for a move away from London in order to earn his place with Brazil at the 2014 World Cup.
“Cagliari? It’s good living in Sardinia, as it’s always sunny,” Julio Cesar told TMW.
“I would like it, but in all honesty no offer has arrived yet. I still don’t know what I’ll do in the second half of the season. At the moment I am concentrating only on training.”
TMW also contacted Cagliari director of sport Nicola Salerno, who didn’t close the door on this potential move.
“We never said no to the player, as we are talking about a phenomenon, but for now this is something that doesn’t exist.”
Sport Mediaset claim Cagliari could secure Julio Cesar for just €350,000, though he is also of interest to Sampdoria.
At Marassi he’d reunite with former Inter teammate and ex-assistant manager Sinisa Mihajlovic, who is now the Sampdoria Coach.
