Police are reportedly investigating links between Cafu and PCC, described as Brazil’s largest criminal organisation.

The link has come about after authorities discovered the PCC’s accountant had received cash deposits from Cafu relating to the sale of buildings and land in the state of Sao Paulo.

The 49-year-old has since issued a statement denying the accusations.

“It’s all false. I don’t know where this story has come from, since I don’t have any property in that area.”
