Brazilian winger Jonathan Renato Barbosa, known as Cafu, has revealed that his agent has been in talks with Lazio.

The 25-year-old currently plays for Bulgarian club Ludogorets Razgrad, and has also been subject to interest from the Premier League, with Leicester also reportedly to be looking at the player.

The draw of childhood friend Felipe Anderson at the Rome-based club may prove to be decisive for Cafu, as he revealed playing with him would be 'a great opportunity'.

"You are talking about me a lot in Italy? My agent deals with this, but I know that my name also is being mentioned in England.

“Is a move to Lazio in January a possibility? The Sporting Director [Igli] Tare spoke to my agent in the summer and I know that Lazio are always in touch with him.

“I know there is the possibility of arriving in January, but now I’m only thinking about working to improve.

“Italian football fascinates me, it would be nice to play in a such an important league.

"Felipe Anderson? We've known each other since we were kids. To play with him would be a great opportunity."
