Martin Caceres could not disguise his joy at scoring the breakthrough goal for Juventus against Napoli.
“Obviously it was a difficult game for us between the joint leaders, but we deserved to win it and I am happy. I have to praise my teammates,” said the Uruguayan.
He came off the bench and immediately nodded in a corner from six yards, followed by Paul Pogba’s volley in the 2-0 victory.
“Team ethic and those who come off the bench to change the game are crucial for us, as there are no first choices and no reserves. I came on for about 15 minutes today and scored, Pogba did the same and we’re happy.”
Juve are now three points clear at the top of the table after just eight rounds.
“This is beautiful, but it is only three points and does not change anything in terms of the title race,” added Caceres.
