“It’ll be a difficult match, we knew it would be regardless. We had a fantastic first leg result, but there are 90 very intense minutes to go, we need a great performance and will try to win,” the Merengues director told Mediaset Premium.

“We know full well that anything can happen in the Champions League and it’s not over yet.”

Barcelona learned that lesson well last night, as Roma came back from a 4-1 first leg defeat to qualify on away goals.

“This is football, you need to be wary and can take nothing for granted. Juventus remain an extraordinary side who have already overcome difficult situations in the Champions League this season.

“In the first leg, it was really hard-fought and even until our second goal. Juve will be up for the fight here this evening.”

Sergio Ramos is suspended, so Zinedine Zidane has chosen 21-year-old Jesus Vallejo in defence.

“We have a large squad, Vallejo is young, reliable and although Sergio Ramos is an important player, we have to defend as a team. You’ll see all the others will help Vallejo on his Champions League debut.”
