The Euro 2016 Round of 16 clash is in Paris on Monday at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

“It is pointless changing the way we play, as instead we need to learn from our mistakes,” the Barcelona midfielder told reporters after a 2-1 defeat to Croatia.

“We require stability, regardless of our opponents, and to believe in our tactical ideas. We know that there is still a lot of talk about the defeat to Croatia, but we have to keep our feet on the ground and not let it affect us.

“Optimism and pessimism aren’t helping, what we need is realism. Italy are a very good team with good players, but the biggest problem they’ll pose for us is in their tactical system.

“The 3-5-2 isn’t used very often in Europe or by national teams, so against them we need to have very clear ideas.”
