The Argentine has been linked with a return to his homeland given that the club are expected to make squad changes this summer.

However, the former Inter stopper has told Sky Sport Italia that he wants to remain at the Stadio Olimpico.

“I’m not thinking about a return to Argentina,” he noted. “I’m happy here and I want to stay in Rome for some time to come.”

The 32-year-old, who moved to the Giallorossi in the summer of 2009, is contracted until June 2014.

Burdisso was dropped from the Roma first team under previous boss Zdenek Zeman this term, but he was reinstated by Aurelio Andreazzoli following his appointment in February.

The centre-back has scored one goal in 24 League games in 2012-13.
