According to Tuttosport newspaper, Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno will ‘surely’ be called up by Italy CT Luciano Spalletti for Euro 2024 before assessing offers from Milan and Premier League clubs.

Buongiorno has been a key player for Torino this season, having made 24 appearances and scored three goals across all competitions. The Granata’s captain rejected an offer from Atalanta last summer but may leave the Stadio Grande Torino at the end of the current campaign.

Thursday’s printed edition of Tuttosport newspaper on page 10 confirms Milan are among the suitors of the 24-year-old centre-back who extended his contract with the Granata until 2028 last summer.

Torin’s asking price is around €40m, but the fee could rise further if the Italian defender gets playing time and impresses at Euro 2024.

According to the report, Spalletti will surely include Buongiorno in Italy’s squad for the upcoming European Championships. After that, Buongiorno and his agent, Beppe Riso, will assess offers, which will predictably come from Milan and Premier League clubs.
