Gianluigi Buffon is leaving Juventus and his partner Ilaria D’Amico is open to going abroad, even if she’s intrigued by moving to Roma.

The 43-year-old goalkeeper announced he will quit Juve at the end of the season, although he hasn’t yet decided if he’ll retire from football.

Among the candidates mentioned there is Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

“Rome is my city, so if he were to go to Roma, we wouldn’t need to go house-hunting,” his partner TV presenter Ilaria D’Amico told Radio Uno.

“I really enjoy experiences abroad and Gigi was very happy to try out a new lifestyle. If I had to vote, I’d choose to go abroad, because Gigi has quite a lot of baggage in Italy.

“Having said that, the Italian league for an Italian is always an attractive prospect.”

In his one season away from Juve, Buffon played for Paris Saint-Germain and won the Ligue 1 title.
