A deal has been in place with PSG for some time, but L’Équipe warns that Financial Fair Play restrictions could see the transfer collapse.

The newspaper expects the Ligue 1 champions to receive the FFP verdict today or tomorrow, after UEFA opened an investigation into the signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé.

One possible sanction is a ban on registering new players for the 2018-19 season, which would mean Buffon wouldn’t be able to play in the Champions League.

That would therefore make it unlikely that PSG would go through with the deal, while the goalkeeper’s ambition is to win the Champions League, having been beaten in three finals at Juve.
