Gianluigi Buffon may be 43 years old, but the Parma goalkeeper proved he’s still got it, saving his third penalty of the Serie B season.
SuperGigi stood tall and denied Como player Ettore Gliozzi at the Stadio Sinigaglia tonight.
This is the 38th penalty that Buffon has saved in his career, having conceded 81, the third he has parried in Serie B this season.
However, this is not a record for the man is 43 years and 10 months old.
That’s because Andrea Pierobon of Cittadella parried Nico Pulzetti’s Siena penalty in April 2014 at the age of 44 years, eight months and 17 days.

2 – Gianluigi #Buffon has saved 2 penalties in the current Serie B campaign, as many he saved in the last 3 seasons combined (2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, considering all comps). Evergreen.#ComoParma
