It was reported earlier today that the shot-stopper had shaken off an injury to face the Diavolo this weekend, and the man himself expects to be available.
“The chances are good that I’ll be there,” Buffon revealed in an interview with Mediaset.

“The most significant match for me is my debut 20 years ago, because it was my introduction to the big leagues.
“The memory of my debut is indelible, the trepidation and also confidence that I felt for such an important match against Milan.
“That excitement and joy has never left me. [Nevio] Scala knocked on my door and asked if I felt ready to play.
“I said ‘of course, otherwise what am I here to do?’”
