“Argentina deserved the victory,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “We didn’t do enough in the first half.
“There was a definite difference between us and them.
“It was a particular game, one with a different meaning to other friendlies – it was right to do it in honour of His Holiness.
“Marchetti? I thought he did well. With the National Team he has often been unlucky.
“He did very well, but hopefully he will be quieter on Sunday [in the Supercoppa match].”
