“Would I like to Coach Juventus?” Buffon considered, speaking to a group of children at Juventus Stadium.

“I'll have a better idea as to what I'd like to do once I've finished playing. I think I'll always remain in football, but I’m not sure what role yet.”

Buffon also discussed the proudest moments of his long career, having made his debut for Parma 20 years ago.

“The proudest moments of my career? My Serie A debut, my first cap for Italy, my first Scudetto, winning the UEFA Cup with Parma, and also the ‘perfect match’ against Real Madrid [in 2003].

“More recently, Juve’s four straight Scudetti.

“Do I ever have an urge to run up the pitch and help the team score? Sometimes, yes, but obviously I can’t…”
