Where Sulley Muntari had a clear goal incorrectly disallowed during the Rossoneri’s match with Juventus, Budan’s team were equally despondent at the standard of refereeing during their 4-1 defeat to Siena.
A red card in the first minute to Federico Balzaretti was soon followed by a controversially awarded penalty to the Robur, much to the disdain of Palermo.
Croatian striker Budan, who has recently returned to fitness and form for the Renzo Barbera outfit, believes the climate going into the weekend will see the referee placed under intense scrutiny.
“Saturday will see the most significant pressure put on the referee.
“They always say that we must leave them in piece, even if we also have pressure on us. We have to accept as players, they are like us.
“Technology? I am in favour of it. Today, the errors will be accepted, but we could help ourselves with such things. You could start putting a referee behind each goal, as they do in European competition.”
