It has been announced that Felix Brych will referee the first leg of the Champions League semi-final between Liverpool and Roma.
The German official has already presided over six matches in this season’s competition – none involving the Giallorossi but two involving their opponents.
As well as the Reds’ Group Stage visit to Sevilla, Brych was in charge of the Anfield club’s 3-0 quarter final first leg win over Manchester City.

The 42-year-old, in charge of last season’s final between Juventus and Real Madrid, also ran the rule over the first leg of the Old Lady’s Round of 16 tie with Tottenham Hostpur and Napoli’s 4-2 home defeat by City in the Group Stage this campaign.
Brych will be assisted by linesmen Mark Borsch and Stefan Lupp, while the additional goalline assistants will be Sastian Dankert and Marco Fritz.
