Parma defender Bruno Alves has claimed it will ‘require a lot of energy’ to finish the championship and predicts a tough return to football.

Parma sit ninth in the table as Serie A works on the protocol for the resumption of football and the Gialloblu captain has claimed it will be difficult for every team to resume.

“We’ll play every three days and it won’t be easy for any team,” Alves told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “Juventus, Lazio and Inter will play for the Scudetto.

“But it will be tough for everyone after two months inactive. It will require a lot of energy to arrive at the end.”

Parma are currently four points behind Napoli at sixth, with one game in hand, and will fight for a place in the Europa League next season.
