Marco Brunelli has officially been appointed new director general of the FIGC (the Italian Football Federation).

The decision had already been made in December, but had to wait until now to free him from other contractual obligations with the Lega Serie A.

Brunelli has been in various roles at the top of Italian football since 2004, becoming director general of the Lega Serie A in 2010 and promoted to CEO in 2018.

He is already a member of various UEFA and FIFA commissions.
