Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic’s agent and father has reportedly arrived in Milan to start negotiations over a new deal for the Croatia intenational.

Brozovic’s father has, according to Calciomercato.com, been in Milan since yesterday and has brought the family lawyer with him to the negotiations with the club.

The Croatian’s current deal expires in June 2022 and both parties are willing to extend, but there’s a reported gap between the club’s offer and the player’s demands.

The outlet reports Inter are willing to extend the deal until June 2024 and increase his salary from €3.5m to €4m a season.

But Brozovic is reportedly aiming for more than €5m a year and there’s a gap that needs to be closed when the father-agent meets with the club.

The 28-year-old defensive midfielder has played 244 competitive games since he arrived at Inter from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2015.

He came initially on loan but signed a permanent deal the following year and renewed until June 2022 in October 2018.
