Rather than convince him otherwise, it’s reported Marcelo Brozovic is increasingly against the idea of joining Al-Nassr, which throws a spanner in the works for Inter, whether or not Barcelona step up.

The Nerazzurri had already agreed a fee worth €23m with Al-Nassr and the only thing remaining was for the Croatia international to accept the €20m per season contract for three years.

With that completed, it would allow Inter to move on to bringing in reinforcements, specifically Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo.

However, as the days go by, Sky Sport Italia report that Brozovic is increasingly firm in his refusal to join the Saudi Pro League, as he feels that he still has more to give the top level of football at the age of 30.

Barcelona can’t make an offer yet until they sell first, and even then it is unlikely to go beyond €18m.

The change is that Brozovic might be content to remain at San Siro, especially as he has a contract to June 2026 that was only signed just over a year ago.

His position is helped by the fact the vast majority of Inter fans have shown an outpouring of love and affection for ‘Epic Brozo’ and wouldn’t be at all sad to see him stay on, having been at the club since January 2015.

On the other hand, Sportitalia also report this evening that Brozovic is leaning towards accepting Al-Nassr because they are fulfilling his every demand, including a contract worth €25m per season for two years.
