Marcelo Brozovic is no longer a central figure at Inter and a departure in the summer is extremely probable as Barcelona keep an eye on the Croat.

The 30-year-old midfielder was previously the key man in the Nerazzurri midfield and he signed a new contract with the club almost exactly 12 months ago, but things have changed this season, with Hakan Calhanoglu taking his spot in the centre of the pitch.

La Gazzetta dello Sport details how Inter have proven to themselves that they no longer need Brozovic, who is one of the highest earners in the squad, and so they’re preparing to sell him in the summer.

The Croatian midfielder, who frustrated the club with the way he handled his calf injury back in January, earns around €6m net per season.

Barcelona emerged as suitors of Brozovic in the January transfer window, possibly proposing a swap deal involving Franck Kessie, and the Catalan side are still keen on picking up the 30-year-old.
