Multiple sources in Italy claim Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has requested a €30m salary to join Al-Nassr so negotiations with the Saudi club continue.

Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com claim the Croatia international has rejected a €20m-a-year contract offer from the Saudi club demanding €30m per season.

Inter are believed to have agreed on Brozovic’s sale for €23m, but the player has not given the all-clear.

The Nerazzurri must sell the 30-year-old to raise funds to purchase Sassuolo and Italy midfielder Davide Frattesi. Negotiations between Al-Nassr and ‘Epic Brozo’ will continue today, but it remains to be seen if the Saudi club will match his demands.

Barcelona remain interested in Brozovic, and it is believed that the player would ask for a lower salary at Camp Nou where he can continue playing in Europe.

The Catalans are long-time admirers of Brozovic and were linked with signing the Croatian in January in a potential swap deal involving ex-Milan midfielder Franck Kessié.
