Inter were happy to see midfielder Marcelo Brozovic return to squad training today, working towards the upcoming Derby d’Italia.

The 29-year-old Croatian winger suffered a hamstring injury whilst on international duty back in September, leaving him sidelined for the last month. Brozovic has missed nine games across Serie A and the Champions League but now he’s desperate to return to action with plenty of time to spare for the World Cup in Qatar.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Brozovic carried out most of today’s squad training session, working alongside his Inter teammates for the first time in over a month. Assuming there are no surprises in the next three training sessions, he’ll be called up for the Derby d’Italia against Juventus on the weekend.

Brozovic is unlikely to start in the match but could come off the bench in the second half, allowing him to build more match fitness ahead of a full return against Bologna on November 9.
