Marcelo Brozovic’s entourage met with Inter directors today and the feeling from both sides over a contract extension is said to be positive.

The Croatia international is only under contract at San Siro until the end of the current campaign, so he could begin negotiating with a different club from January.

There has so far been very little progress in negotiations, but according to multiple reports this evening, there was a meeting today between Inter chiefs and Brozovic’s representatives.

It was an exploratory encounter rather than going into specific details, but it did confirm that Inter want to keep Brozovic, while the player is eager to remain with the Nerazzurri.

He has attracted interest from abroad as a free agent, including Liverpool and Manchester United.

The Croatia international midfielder turned 29 only yesterday and has been at Inter since leaving Dinamo Zagreb in January 2015.

With the nickname ‘Epic Brozo,’ he has become a fan favourite and contributed to their Serie A title victory last season.

So far this term, Brozovic has contributed one goal and two assists in 16 competitive appearances.

  1. His Agent wants 7 mill and Inter have offered 4 mill + bonus so clearly his destiny is to leave ….. big loss to Inter if he leaves for nothing.

  2. if Kessie is asking for 8-9m, Brozov has every right to demand 6m+bonuses.

Bro has settled in Milan since he became a father so I doubt he wants to change scenery. However he is a great poker player and is aware of the situation Inter currently are, him being an essential player for them. Changed his agent to his father so the bonuses remain in the family. Ausilio should learn his lesson and renew.
