A group of Brighton fans jokingly trolled Roma legend Francesco Totti last night by exposing an unusual banner at the Amex Stadium: ‘He loves pineapple on pizza.’
Brighton fans welcomed Roma at the Amex Stadium last night by trolling the Giallorossi legend with a banner written in Italian.
It read: ‘Totti loves pineapple on pizza’, and the image immediately went viral on social media in Italy.
The banner exposed by Brighton fans may have been a reply to an offensive sign by Roma fans aimed at the late Queen Elizabeth II during the first leg in Rome last week, for which Brighton had asked UEFA to open an investigation.
Totti is no longer part of Roma but remains the most iconic player in the club’s history.
