Brighton-De Zerbi talks ongoing, but Juventus emerge

Brighton are continuing talks with Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi, but Juventus have also emerged as potential contenders for the ex-Sassuolo boss.

The 43-year-old terminated his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk after the beginning of the war with Russia and has recently refused to enter negotiations with Bologna as a sign of respect for Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Brighton are reportedly considering him as a replacement for Graham Potter, who Chelsea has appointed to replace Thomas Tuchel.

The Premier League side are in no hurry to find a permanent replacement, but talks between the Seagulls and the Italian tactician are still ongoing, reports Calciomercato.com.

As per Sportmediaset, Juventus are also monitoring the 43-year-old as a potential replacement for Max Allegri.

The Tuscan tactician is not considering resigning despite winning just two games from the opening eight across all competitions this season.

His €7.5m-a-year contract at the Allianz Stadium runs out in June 2025 and according to the Italian broadcasters, De Zerbi would be a reliable and yet affordable option for the Bianconeri should they sack their boss in the coming weeks.

Juventus visit Monza on Sunday, in the last game before the international break.
