Brest defender Lilian Brassier has reportedly agreed to join Milan and now the Rossoneri need to find a deal with the French club.

The Milanese club have dealt with a number of injuries in recent months, heavily reducing the options available to coach Stefano Pioli. Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu are all currently sidelined with injuries, forcing Theo Hernandez to be deployed as a centre back.

Brassier has entered the last 18 months of his contract with Brest and attracted the attention of Milan a few months ago. The club are also following other options like Torino’s Alessandro Buongiorno.

Page nine of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Brassier has now given his approval to join Milan this month, leaving it up to the Rossoneri to find agreeable terms with Brest. They are hoping to pay less than €10m for the 24-year-old, which’ll take some negotiating.

The French centre back has seen 1329 minutes of action across 15 matches for Brest this season, scoring one goal and helping the side keep seven clean sheets.
