Milan are among a list of several clubs across Europe interested in signing Brest defender Lillian Brassier according to reports on Friday morning.

The 24-year-old centre-back is under contract with the Ligue 1 side until the summer of 2025, however, he is ready to leave and Brest would be prepared to sell for the right price according to recent updates from Gianluca Di Marzio.

And, as per Friday’s report, Milan would be Brassier’s preferred destination. Even more so than Monaco, who are also plotting moves, as are Porto.

Monaco have reportedly lodged an offer in the region of €11m for Brassier, but Milan are hoping to use the player’s will to sign for the Rossoneri as leverage in negotiations. Either way, a deal lis still likely to cost in excess of €10m.

In an ideal world, Brest would like to keep Brassier for as long as possible, and are reportedly pushing to keep him on loan until the end of the 2023-24 season, even if a deal is agreed this transfer window. Milan would, however, require Brassier’s services immediately.

While no agreement has been reached as of yet, Milan will remain in contact with the French side over the coming weeks.
