Plans are growing stronger to get playing again on or around May 20-28, taking the campaign to a natural conclusion by the end of July.

Several Serie A clubs are against the idea, chief among them Brescia and their President Massimo Cellino.

They issued a statement today reiterating that the club “would like to avoid playing again out of respect for the sad reality of the situation in Brescia.”

It notes that even if it did get back on to the field this term, repaying season ticket holders for missed matches is going to be “far from easy” due to the taxes already being paid on that sum.

They propose giving fans a discount on the 2020-21 season ticket instead.

“Our players showed great sensitivity and responsibility by almost entirely accepting very quickly the cut in wages, to ensure the integrity of the club during this delicate moment.”
