Gleison Bremer’s is facing an uncertain future at Torino, with President Urbano Cairo admitting that the defender will ‘stay with us for this season.’

Bremer, 24, sees his contract expires in June 2023 and has been linked with several big clubs in Europe, including Milan and Chelsea.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri have put the Brazilian on top of their shopping list.

Torino value Bremer at €25m and are open to selling him to Milan, but only including Tommaso Pobega in a player-plus-cash swap deal.

In his latest interview with Italian media, Torino President Urbano Cairo provided updates on the defender’s future but changed his version about Bremer’s fate.

When asked about the defender’s potential exit in January during the Gazzetta Award on Monday, he said: “I don’t know, we’ll see. We’ll talk about transfers at the right moment.”

However, Cairo changed his version and ruled out Bremer’s January exit during an interview before yesterday’s Coppa Italia clash between Torino and Sampdoria.

“Will Bremer leave in January? Absolutely not. I haven’t talked to anyone at the moment,” he said, as quoted by Tuttosport.

“He is under contract with us, and I never thought about selling him in January. He will stay with us for this season, then we’ll see.”
