Torino defender Gleison Bremer admits he still doesn’t know whether he will play in Italy or abroad next season: ‘I only want to play in the Champions League.’

The Brazilian centre-back was named the best Serie A defender for 2021-22 and is one of the hottest commodities in Serie A. He is expected to leave Torino in the summer and Inter are in advanced talks with him.

However, the Nerazzurri have yet to open talks with Torino and won’t be able to make their offer before they sell one of their defenders.

They are currently in talks with PSG for Milan Skriniar but won’t sell the Slovakia international for less than €70m. Tottenham are also strongly interested in Bremer and have already held talks with his agent and Torino directors.

“I don’t know where I will play, I am talking t my agent and at the moment, there is nothing defined yet,” the defender told Flow Sport Club.

“I am unsure whether I’ll remain in Italy or go abroad.

“One fundamental thing is to play the Champions League next season. This is fundamental to continuing my growth. We’ll define everything in the next few days or weeks.”

Bremer was born in Brazil but has yet to make his senior debut with the Seleçao. He could get Italian citizenship through his wife and therefore become eligible to play with the Azzurri.

“My wife has Italian ancestors, so she’ll get an Italian passport. Naturally, I’ll get the same. My dream is to be called up by Brazil, but I’ve had a solid career in Italy so there’s this possibility. Let’s see.”
