New Juventus defender Gleison Bremer is fired up ahead of the fast approaching Serie A season, suggesting it’ll be ‘a season of achievements and victories.’

The 25-year-old Brazilian centre back proved himself to be one of the best defenders in Italy last campaign with Torino, standing out in Ivan Juric’s squad. Bremer’s strong season saw him attract the interest of Inter, who courted him for months before losing out to Juventus, who used the money generated by the sale of Matthijs de Ligt to close out a deal.

Writing on his Instagram page, Bremer looked ahead to the upcoming season and thanked the Juventus fans for their support.

“End of the pre-season. Thanks to the fans for all the support, I’m sure it’ll be a season of achievements and victories. It won’t be easy, but I’ll fight every day and give my best.”

Juventus’ Serie A season kicks off with a match against Sassuolo on August 15. The club are currently experiencing a slight injury crisis, with Paul Pogba, Wojciech Szczesny and Weston McKennie all sidelined with issues. Those with long term issues, like Federico Chiesa and Kaio Jorge, are also still unavailable.
